Colin's Hiding Out in Dublin...

The big big news around town at the moment is Dublin's favourite son Colin Farrell is back in the city for a week but rather than his usual hellraising he seems to be taking it easy and laying low...

When Colin Farrell landed in Dublin at the weekend the first thing he did was make an unfortunate gaff about heroin usage in his youth but that was soon cleared up in an apparently rushed interview with a Sunday paper where he sincerely apologised about the comment.

And to top Colin making a nationwide apology even more surprising is that the talented heartthrob seems to be confined-to-quarters at his mum's house and hasn't been spotted frequenting the city's numerous watering-holes!

We caught up with a very shy Colin at Shanahans Restaurant on St. Stephen's Green on Saturday night - as the rest of the city was living it up Colin was having a quiet meal with his mother Rita and hunky brother Eamon.

Colin's not usually camera shy but he ducked and dodged ShowBiz Ireland's snappers every time he stood outside for a smoke until we finally caught him leaving by the side entrance.

On close inspection of the photographs we took of the 28 year old there seems to be either a bandage or a large shaved area under Colin's perforated beanie-hat... Hopefully Colin's not home recuperating from a recent war wound?

On Sunday night Colin's uncle Robbie Fox threw a Play Boy party in his VIP nightclub Reynards.

ShowBiz Ireland was sure that the temptation would be too much and force Colin out of hiding but in his absence Robbie did him proud by arriving to his club in a stretch limo filled with stunning Bunny Girls.

The guys off RTE's The Panel Show, Dara O'Briain, Ed Byrne and Colin Murphy, seemed to really enjoy all of the beautiful girls at Reynards on Sunday night but we're sure they were only there to catch a glimpse of Mr. Farrell!

But the big question remains has Colin Farrell finally hung up his hellraising hard hat? We hope not!
