Colin
Farrell: Portrait of a Humble Guy...
Irish
actor Colin
Farrell has been back home and causing a stir
within the Dublin social and movie industry, but he
insists he's still just a normal guy.
This
week the actor did an interview for the Irish RTE
guide and admitted he was paid a silly amount of money
for acting. "I've made more money over the past few
years then I thought I would ever make. Talk about
an over paid bastard. It's insane."
The star first shot to fame in the Irish TV show Ballykissangel
but admitted they never asked him to come back.
The actor also admits that it might all end tomorrow,
and if it did that would be just fine with him. "I
swear it would. You would get no crocodile tears from
me. None. I have had such a good buzz and as we all
know I have made more money over the past few years
than I ever thought I would. But, if it all went away
tomorrow I would not miss it. Maybe all these films
will come out and no one will see them. "
And
he went on, "then I'll be finished. If that happens
I'll have so many stories to tell my grandchildren.
Nobody will be able to take that away. I'd buy a pub
or something. I have my mates and my family here."
Speaking on his recent four-month marriage to Amelia
Warner he said, "That was the result of me being
a impulsive guy. I love her and we are not together
now but that is not the result of anything. It would
be very hard for me to have a relationship with anyone
at the moment because I'm all over the shop."
"After
I go to work you think I'm at home learning my lines
or something. Na, you work hard and play hard and
you always get six weeks off between jobs and that's
great. I have no politics except to enjoy every second
of my life as much as possible."
