Brosnan's Sound of Thunder...

Irish actor Pierce Brosnan is to make a return to the silver screen as a action hero but not as James Bond, ShowBizIreland.com can reveal. The Navan born star has been keeping quiet about his next secret film project which takes off in April. That's after the birth next week of his and his girlfriend Keely Shay Smith's second child which will be called Paris.

ShowBizIreland.com can reveal that the movie will be directed Renee Harlin who has already directed the 2001 film Driven, as well as a host of other big budgets movies such as Cliffhanger, Deep Blue Sea, The Long Kiss Goodnight and Die Hard 2.

Brosnan will join Harlin in a movie called "Sound of Thunder." In the film Brosnan will play a time travel hero and great white hunter. His goal is to travel back and hunt a dinosaur. However, when he does this he tampers with evolution and chaos theory does its thing. Cause and effect ensue and Brosnan like all true action heros has to save the day.

Filming of the movie will start in April and Brosnan's publicist told ShowBizIreland.com that he is very excited about the project.
