Aussie lands Bond Girl role...

Pierce Brosnan's wouldbe Bond 20 co-stars Anna Kornakovia and Kelly Brook may have topped the list but an Aussie Stunner has landed the female lead.

It appears that the makers of the film have opted for a less well-known actress to take one of the lead female roles - Kimberley Davies, better known to those in the Ireland as blonde bombshell Annalise from Neighbours.

Davies, 28, has recently had minor roles in a number of American TV series, including Ally McBeal and Spin City.

Playing opposite the Irish actor Pierce Brosnan would undoubtedly be her biggest role yet.

The cast will be confirmed by next week when filming of the new movie gets underway.

It's Brosnan last outing as Bond contractually but he may still sign up for another one if asked.

The American actress Halle Berry is also expected to be named as one of Bond's leading ladies.
