Brosnan's Cannes Double Bill...

Irish actor Pierce Brosnan is in in Cannes this week promoting his new James Bond movie and his Irish made film Evelyn.

Aswell as promoting his 007 blockbuster Die Another Day he is also plugging his own movie Evelyn, which he co-stars with Julianna Margulies, Stephen Rea and Aidan Quinn.

Brosnan told reporters this weekend that 007 will finish filming in June under its New Zealand director, "Lee Tamahori is a madman but I think you have to be to direct such a project."

The movie, Brosnan said, "is looking really good."

The issue of sexy Bond women also came up and Brosnan admitted "I did participate in the casting of Bond women once. I spent a whole day snogging different beautiful women. It was rather bizarre."

His Irish film, which he is also producing, is on a different level, Brosnan said, calling it "much closer to the style of work I have done a lot of before Bond."
