Two of Ireland's most famous sons actor Pierce
Brosnan and F1 Boss Eddie Jordan had honorary
Doctorates bestowed on them by Dublin Institute
of Technology yesterday.

characters Eddie Jordan and Pierce Brosnan were as
thick as thieves yesterday as they were both given
honorary doctorates by DIT at a sunny ceremony in
the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Dublin College bestowed the honors on the two prominent
Irish figures in recognition of their talents in their
respective fields, and their entrepreneurial and humanitarian
achievements.

Eddie Jordan's citation read by Dr. Frank McMahon
it was noted "The fastest way to succeed is to
look as if you're playing by somebody else's rules,
while quietly playing by your own."

in Brosnan's citation Ms. Mary Cryan said:
"A star of stage and screen, an artist, businessman,
humanitarian, ambassador of Ireland, father and grandfather;
Pierce Brosnan's multifaceted persona is as varied
as the many film characters he has played."

and Jordan seemed extremely proud to be presented
with their doctorates, both bringing their mothers,
extended family and friends to the ceremony.
