Bono's
Dad only "days to live"...
Bono has admitted that his father Bob
(75) is very close to death. The singer made the sad
notice at a concert in Manchester on Saturday night
and flew home on Sunday to be with his father.
During
the concert in Manchester the U2 singer said, "Dad
has only days to live. He has only a few days left
in this world."
The singer then dedicated the song Kite to
him during the concert saying. "I wrote this song
for my kids but now I feel like he wrote it for me."
During
the concert he said "this song is for him. He's a
tough old fella."
Retired
post office clerk Bob raised Bono along with his brother
Norman when their mother died suddenly in 1974.
However, Saturday's gig was not totally down as the
band sang Happy Birthday to The Edge who celebrated
his 40th birthday on the night.
