U2's
Dockland Home has a Designer...
Good news for all U2 fans out there, the Irish
rock foursome are now closer to having a new Dublin
recording studio as an Architect has been chosen to
design their docklands tower.
Bono
himself stated recently that, "we (U2) are getting
closer to making the music we have always wanted to
make." And now it looks like they will have the
venue to make it.
Ever
since the Dublin Docklands Development Authority
announced they would demolish U2's famous Windmill
Lane studio there has been outrage amongst U2
fans around the globe.
But
to replace the rock landmark the DDDA also announced
they would build a tower on Britain Quay to
house Ireland greatest export.
The
winning architects were Burdon Dunne/Craig Henry
of Blackrock, and their entry was chosen above
500 designs.
The
building, which will include a unique twisting tower
design, will contain U2's new studio on the top two
floors - the rest of the floor space will used for
offices and apartments.
We
wonder if Colin Farrell is planning to move
in also?
