U2
get Hands on Golden Globe...
U2 have won a Golden Globe Award for
their original song "The hands that Build America"
and beat off stiff competition such as Eminem's
"8 Mile" to take home the award.
U2 wrote "The Hands that Built America" for Gangs
of New York, other notable winners at the awards
were Martin Scorsese Best Director for Gangs
of New York.
However the big surprise of the night was Daniel
Day Lewis losing out to Jack Nicholson
for Best Actor.
Bono arrived in hand with actress Cate Blanchett
and The Edge also attended the star studded
event in Beverly Hills.
U2 will return home to continue recording a new album
in Dublin.
U2
are now looking forward to Oscars night in
March where they are also expected to win an award
for The Hands that built America.
