BONO & WIFE ALI

Well,
it was the turn of Mr. Hewson's other Irish artist
mate Charlie Whisker to get treated to the
Bono-benefits at an exhibition he held in the Solomon
Gallery last week called Uncertain Sins.

Apparently
Bono is a collector of his works, he once even commissioned
the artist to design the etching on the famous metal
gates that still adorn and protect his plush Killiney
home.

According
to the press release: "Whisker's paintings contain
many references to his personal experiences, in particular
his experiences of life in Northern Ireland throughout
the troubles. Particular motifs, such as half-burnt
matches & bottles of alcohol symbolise the grief that
inflicted N. Ireland throughout this time."
INDIA & DOMINIO WHISKER

Also
at Charlie's show was Bono's wife: the splendid Ali
Hewson, Irish artist Guggi, former Lillies
Bordello owner Dave Egan, singer Mary
Stokes and Charlie's two daughters India
and Dominio.
If
you would like to view Charlie's work the exhibition
continues at the Solomon Gallery until February 9th...
