Photos of U2's Slane After-Show party...
U2 boys Bono, Larry Mullen, and
the Edge plus other big names posed for ShowBizIreland.com
photographers outside their hotel on Saturday night
after their second Slane concert.
After
show party guests included Ant and Dec, Moby, Bob
Geldof, and a very camera shy Roger Taylor (Queen).
Also
there were Bono's mates Guggi, Gavin Friday
and Simon Carmody. Adam Clayton skipped
the party.
Afterward
Larry left by The Clarence back door, as did Roger
Taylor. The Edge retired to bed in the Hotel and Bono
left with Ali and baby.
During
their concert Bono took time out to thank the Irish
soccer team for being "the greatest support act
we could have had" after the lads knocked the
Dutch to their knees on Saturday in Dublin.
The Ireland v Holland match was screened during the
event, which featured Moby, Ash, Nelly Furtado,
The Walls and Dara.
Later
in the show Bono roared "tonight Slane Castle belongs
to me " showing he is back to his old self again.
The
band drew extensively from their back catalogue but
began and ended the set with tracks from the current
album, All That You Can't Leave Behind.
After
the show is was back by Police Escort to the band's
own Clarence Hotel where they partied until the early
hours.
