Bono
& Friday Children of the Revolution...
The Irish singer Gavin Friday, lead singer
with the Irish band The Virgin Prunes and U2
Bono's best friend has recorded a duet with the
singer for an upcoming movie. Gavin's website appropriately
titled GavinFriday.com
(The World According to) gives details of Friday's
latest musical work.
Together
with his long term song writing partner Maurice
Seezer and Bono they have recorded T-Rex's
'Children of the Revolution' for Baz Luhrman's
upcoming film 'Moulin Rouge' starring Ewan
McGregor and Nicole Kidman.
The
song is included in the film and will be on the soundtrack
to be released this summer. Friday, Seezer and Bono
previously collaborated on Jim Sheridan's film
'In the Name of the Father' in 1993.
For
fans of the Prunes and Friday the good news is that
Gavin has followed in Bono's footsteps and gone on
the road. While Bono and U2 are off on their world
tour playing more intimate venue's Gavin is doing
his own intimate tour right here in Ireland.
According
to his website the singer is set to do his own pub
tour of Ireland.
