U2 want to do 2 Slane gigs...

Irish supergroup U2 have said that they would love to play a double gig this year at Ireland’s Slane Castle. Speaking to the Irish press Bono said "It just doesn't feel right doing one gig in Ireland. We're thinking of playing two Slane's. I don’t know if that's ever been allowed and I don't know who would have to give us permission. Probably the people of Slane."

The bands request may be due to the fact that Bono's wife Ali is expecting their forth child in June and the singer said about the pregnancy. "It’s tricky to be away from home for to long."

The bands drummer Larry Mullen also confirmed Slane's concert date should be August 25th when speaking to the press in London this week saying that "It’s looking that way."

However, after Wednesday’s night show in London their was no partying for the band who were up early for a video shoot first thing Thursday morning in London's King Cross where they were doing the video for their next single Walk On.

Also this week the Australian pop queen Kylie Minogue has told how Bono became like a father to her after the two got to know each other during Minogue’s relationship with the late INXS singer Michael Hutchance. "Bono has become like a father to me and been incredibly encouraging to me though-out my career."
